Earlier this week on Tuesday, May 23, the Web3 browser Brave announced leveraging non-fungible tokens (NFTs) for introducing the facility of token-gated video calls into its user experience.
The Brave browser will add this new tool to the existing Brave Talk video service and will allow hosts to use NFTs and POAPS in order to manage call access thus providing token-gate access, assigning moderator permissions, configuring avatars, and much more.
Additionally, the Web3 calling will also expand the utility for Brave’s browser-native Brave Wallet. By combining browser, wallet and video, the Brave browser will help in creating the first-ever fully integrated Web3 live event platform.
