The innovative features of Google Chrome: AI completion and card organiser

Google is working on an intelligent card organiser and autofill tool in Chrome. The “organise tabs” function uses machine learning for sorting, and the Autofill Helper is still in development. Chrome already offers memory usage monitoring.

  • Future features of Google Chrome include an AI-based tab organiser and an autocomplete helper.
  • The new feature is expected to recognise the opening of a certain number of tabs using machine learning, which could potentially automate the sorting process.
  • The autocomplete assistant is a future feature that is currently under development.

Rumour has it that Google is preparing to add an important artificial intelligence (AI) feature to the Chrome browser that will allow users to organise tabs more efficiently.

In a post on X (via Android Police), user @Leopeva64 shared screenshots of the upcoming feature in Google Chrome, which is referred to as “Advanced” and is rumoured to still be in development. In particular, the URL of the “Settings” tab, “chrome://settings/ai”, suggests that Google is using artificial intelligence.

It is expected that a future section will include an AI tool to help users organise their tabs. Using machine learning, it will be able to recognise when a certain number of cards are open, potentially automating the sorting process. This function in Chrome will be called “Organise Cards”.

Autofill Helper is a future feature that is currently under development. The exact purpose of the feature is not yet known, but User X revealed that Google originally nicknamed it Compose. To activate the feature, users may need to restart the browser.

A new function for checking memory usage has been added to the Chrome browser. Now users can hover over a tab to see how much memory is being used, although Google introduced the memory saving feature earlier this year. Chrome not only displays the domain and name of the website, but also the amount of memory used by a particular tab in the format “Memory usage”: XX MB.

In recent weeks, Google has released updates to the Chrome app for iOS. These changes include AI translation, map addresses, the ability to create calendar events and other features. In addition, users can now move the address bar to the bottom of the user interface.

Google Chrome has recently been enhanced with many new features. To celebrate the browser’s 15th anniversary, Google refreshed Chrome with the “Material You” theme. The update included new colour schemes, updated icons and a completely redesigned Chrome Web Store.
