The Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) plans to enable the use of crypto tokens for digital signatures in a new domestic web browser.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in India has announced its intention to allow users to use crypto tokens for digital signatures within a new domestic web browser. This move is noteworthy since India has not introduced any legislation in parliament concerning Web3 or cryptocurrencies, although it has advocated for worldwide cryptocurrency regulations during its presidency of the G20.
