A recent post by the Call of Duty team announced that Call of Duty®: Warzone Caldera would shut down by September 21, 2023. On the alleged date, players’ progression, inventories, and online services would expire. This will enable them to focus on future Call of Duty content which includes the current Warzone free-to-play experience. Also, there is a hint that the game is embracing Chainlink-powered NFTs as part of its decision to change its existing digital ownership. Chainlink (LINK) has in response to this announcement shared what the gaming industry stands to benefit when it takes advantage of NFTs.
